Verification of Competency (VOC’s)
A Worksafe High Risk licence or Certificate of Competency is no longer an adequate measure of an employee’s ability to perform their tasks and operate machinery in a manner compliant with regulations. Employers’ are now required to clearly demonstrate an employee’s ability to perform the tasks related to their job when plant is used.
Construction Safety Assurance is able to conduct ‘Verification of Competency’ (V.O.C.) training to ensure an employee is competent in the role they have been hired to undertake.
Our VOC’s entail both a practical and theory component and are assessed using WorkSafe Victoria assessment tools and Australian Training Qualifications standards. If your company has its own set of standards you would like your staff to be assessed against, we can use these too!
A VOC can be performed at your worksite, providing you have the machinery available to undertake the practical component of the training or can be undertaken at our Dandenong site. Our VOC training takes between 4-8 hours depending on the number of participants. We can conduct VOC training Australia wide.
Employees must hold the relevant High Risk Licence or Certificate of Competency already before they can undertake VOC training.
